Do you have electrical engineering or repair skills which you would like to put to use to further the work of Bible translation? Join the JAARS team serving SIL, Wycliffe, and affiliated organizations and use your skills to make a lasting difference! We have a need to fill this important position. Missionaries around the world need reliable power systems to accomplish their job. In today's quickly changing technical world, part of JAARS mission is to provide the technical capacity to help advance the work for people involved in Bible translation and language development. This role in particular is directly related to that mission, and you will be consulting with people in various parts of the world to meet their power systems needs. These systems range in size from individual computer charging systems to large solar arrays to power an entire campus. If you do not currently have solar power experience, but have worked with traditional power systems, we will train you. We are looking for someone with a heart to serve Christ with good customer service skills. We have a great team of specialists and you can join the team to serve the Lord with your skills!
This position is not salaried.
