Job: French Learning Coach
Location: Cameroon
Timescale: Starts now, full time
Do you love la langue de Molière? Do you love to teach it to others? Many SIL members serving in French-speaking Cameroon are looking for ways to improve their speaking and comprehension abilities in French so that they may communicate more comfortably and correctly with French-speaking friends and colleagues, both Africans and those from other parts of the French-speaking world. Many of these members are serving in support roles in Yaounde, the capital. Through individual tutoring, conversation groups, and other creative ways, you can help non-Francophone SIL workers feel more at ease and better integrated into the surrounding French-speaking culture and so enhance their effectiveness in ministry. This job is ideal for a mother-tongue speaker of French, or even someone who has mastered it as a second language, who is familiar with the difficulties French-learners encounter and is up to the challenge of helping them overcome these difficulties.
This position is not salaried.
